You are invited to apply to join us June 14 – 16

Beloved SVIW Community,

We’re BAAAACK!  We hope this blog finds you well in these continued challenging times which offers the important reminder that we are in fact, BETTER TOGETHER.

Over the past several months, we’ve taken some time to reflect on the model of SVIW, this virtual space we intentionally curate and the importance of this community, and we are excited to share that we will convene again virtually. June 14-16.  Please save the dates and do let us know if you have others who you think would benefit from joining us.

Vanessa and I are thrilled to share that our partner and SVIW Producer, Laurel Dault, has taken on a new role at Hollyhock as Director of Social Innovation and an even more significant role as mother to beautiful baby Liam. This shift provided the opportunity to invite in our next partner for this important work and we are THRILLED to share that Jessika Hepburn has  joined the Social Venture Institute (SVI)  team as the Next Economy Lead with the  Hollyhock Leadership Institute

A big part of Jessika’s  role this year will be supporting our community as executive producer of SVIW and SVI Hollyhock with the leadership of Pamela Chaloult, Vanessa Richards, Mike Rowlands, Laurel Dault and Joel Solomon. Jessika has hit the ground running and  brings twenty years of entrepreneurship, event planning, and organizing communities on and offline. She is deeply dedicated to equitable, just economies and social change rooted in care, solidarity, anti-racism and mutual aid.

As we navigate this transformative and often traumatic time for many leaders on the front lines of social entrepreneurship and progressive change, especially those of us who are marginalized by intersections of race, gender, ability and economic power, we are reminded of the importance of gathering to share knowledge and resources that uplift one another and support us in building strong resilient communities.  The SVI model helps us to collectively imagine what is possible by creating the opportunities to access the support we need.

SVIW is a place for us to gather online and find the connection of community along with solid support for business and leadership challenges from your fellow entrepreneurs, changemakers, and community leaders.

Entrepreneurship is not easy and no one of us has all the answers, that is why we come together.

We can’t wait to see you June 14 -16th.

Big Love,

Pam and Vanessa

Want to join us this June? Apply today and get ready to feel replenished and energized; supported and seen; and above all, connected to yourself and other leaders that know we need global transformation.
