Reclaiming Your Roots & Amplifying Your Voice: An Embodied Yoga and Mindfulness Retreat for People of Color

With Susanna Barkataki and Linda Lopes

September 8 - 13, 2023

Application is required before registering. You may apply here.

In this unique immersive workshop for BIPOC practitioners, teachers and students of yoga, Susanna Barkataki will guide participants on a rich cultural journey into the roots of yoga, skill-building for connecting with your ancestral wisdom, power and amplifying your voice.

Through an arc of experiential embodiment you’ll reclaim your roots, explore your own authentic journey with yoga in order to understand yourself and the tradition deeper. This training will cultivate your own personal storytelling with yoga, situate you thoughtfully within the tradition, develop your authentic voice and guide you into an embodied, inclusive, dynamic and soul-revealing experience.

We will gather in sacred circle for ancestral and yogic ceremony, rituals, rest, practice and masterminding. We will experience the beauty of Cortes Island as we are held in community. Grounded in this way, we will inspire and ignite your soul’s calling and purpose.

Soften. Receive. Rest. Nourish. Ignite. Inspire. Connect. Embrace. And Integrate.

Join us on this transformational journey of authentic self-expression for you as well as for the communities you serve. You will leave centered, calm, inspired and fired up with a concrete action plan to create, disrupt and be the change you are here to be in alignment with your purpose!
