Hollyhock programs are enriched by welcoming a multitude of voices and experiences that reflect global plurality. The Hollyhock scholarship program is one of the key strategies we employ to expand program access to underrepresented and marginalized communities.
As part of our ongoing journey we acknowledge that Hollyhock, as a place of learning and regeneration, is not without its barriers. For many, being able to afford to attend programs and travel to Cortes Island is a financial privilege. As part of our commitment to cultivate spaces of loving openness to diverse ideas, people, and ways of being, we aim to reduce some of the financial barriers by way of the Hollyhock Scholarship Program.
Through the scholarship program, we are committed to supporting and prioritizing members of the Global Majority (a collective term for Indigenous people and people of African, Asian, Latin American, and Arab descent who together comprise the vast majority, around 80%, of people in the world); as well as members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.
