Marlon has spent over a decade working at the cross-section of innovation, economic inclusion and community. He is a seasoned executive, startup founder and career startup investor.
In 2020, Marlon launched Future Capital with a mission to bring a new kind of equity to the venture capital space. The company was acquired by Spring Activator in 2023. Marlon is also trained in instructional design and financial modelling for venture capital.
Marlon served on the Board of Directors for QueerTech from 2022 – 2025. QueerTech is Canada’s leading organization dedicated to queering the tech ecosystem in Canada.
Marlon is an active, early-stage investor with a portfolio of early-stage angel investments and a breadth of institutional investment experience having worked on fund construction + portfolio support for four early-stage venture capital funds including:

Marlon’s SVI Workshop: Human in the Loop
This workshop is designed to help purpose-driven leaders unpack the cultural shift around artificial intelligence and define our role in shaping an AI-enabled future. In this session, participants will be invited to take a close look at the nuanced challenges (and opportunities) that we face as leaders, consumers and citizens moving through a period of transformative technological change. Together, we will explore strategies to make more conscious decisions about the use and misuse of AI.
