Pre-registration for the 2024 Canadian Psychedelics Summit is now open!
As we look forward to gathering next year, Kim Haxton shared reflections about the 2023 summit in a letter to participants:
“I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. I am writing to express my deepest gratitude that you all came to the psychedelic summit. It was an incredibly enlightening and transformative experience, and I am truly honoured to have been a part of such an important event. First and foremost, I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to you for attending this summit. The range of speakers was a glimpse into the brilliance and dedication of the work in psychedelics that is happening. I would also like to express my gratitude to all the speakers who shared their knowledge, experiences, and insights. Each session was thought-provoking and eye-opening, not only shedding light on the systemic barriers faced by racialized individuals and the potential of psychedelic therapies to address many issues. The passion and expertise demonstrated by the speakers were truly remarkable and I left the summit feeling empowered and motivated to contribute to positive change in my own worlds that I walk in.

Furthermore, I would like to extend my appreciation to all the attendees who participated in the summit. The diversity of perspectives and experiences brought to the table created a vibrant and interesting gathering. I am grateful for the connections made and the potential collaborations that may arise from these interactions. Lastly, I would like to express my gratitude for the financial support provided to making this summit happen. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute to the ongoing efforts of uplifting these conversations. Once again, thank you for taking time out of your lives to help co-create such an impactful summit. The knowledge gained and the connections made will undoubtedly have a lasting impact on all of our journeys. I am committed to utilizing the insights gained from this summit to advocate for equity, justice, and inclusivity in my sector and in this field.
