Psoma: Discover When the Body Says Yes

With Donna Martin & Shelley Winton

August 31 - September 5, 2025

What if we can learn to accompany someone on their healing journey without any suggestion of something wrong, something to fix?

How can we recognize healing as an inside job – the unfolding of our intrinsic and natural wholeness? How can we learn to be the kind of presence that is itself a powerful healing gift? What do we really mean by Presence?

Psoma is Donna Martin’s unique version of Hakomi, which she inherited from its creator Ron Kurtz. After working closely with him for more than 20 years before his death in 2011, she was named in his will as one of his “legacy holders”. Since then, Donna has continued to revise and refine the way she practises and teaches this approach that she now calls “Psoma”.

Psoma comes from the Greek soma for body, and ps for mind/spirit. Psoma is an integrated mind/body/spirit approach to healing as wholeness happening, wholeness unfolding. It is a practice that is designed to cultivate wakefulness and present-centered awareness to bring the freedom of choice and new possibilities to the healing journey.

In Psoma we move from Presence, through Play to new Possibilities. The principle of non-violence (ahimsa in yoga) deeply informs the Psoma approach. In this Psoma retreat, participants are invited to experience their own healing as a journey of remembering wholeness and to participate in each other’s healing as a profound gift of Presence.
