Kristan Childs

Kristan Childs is a mother, teacher, writer, speaker, and experienced facilitator. She works in the fields of ecological grief and community resilience. Certified in both Eco-Psychology and Climate Psychology and a long-time facilitator for the Good Grief Network and for the Climate Emotions Resilience Institute, she helps people metabolize their painful feelings about the world into a deeper sense of vitality and purpose.

Kristan works with diverse groups, from new parents to climate scientists. In any setting, her warm authenticity and openness ground the group process. She is as comfortable holding a difficult discussion with care, creating an earth-based ritual, or leading a lively song circle. She facilitates The Work that Reconnects and has trained in Community Grief Rituals with Francis Weller and in Rites of Passage work with The School of Lost Borders

Kristan infuses her work with movement, mindfulness, poetry, writing, nature-connection, awe practices, and open-hearted sharing. She helps people feel more alive, become their authentic selves, and find and express their unique gifts for these times.
