Breanne Kemp has a background in Environmental Sciences and a passion for the natural world. Former lifeguard, swimming instructor and competitive swimmer, Breanne grew up in and around the water. Ontario cottage country is where she felt most at home, and after working as an Executive Assistant for much of her career, she left office life behind and moved to Cortes in 2022.
Working with Hollyhock’s Resident Naturalist, Bill Ophoff, shucking oysters and assisting with his Discover Cortes programs, reawakened the naturalist within. Her journey from the confines of the office to the untamed beauty of Cortes is a narrative of rediscovery, passion and the sheer joy that comes from embracing one’s true calling. Whether she’s swimming, hiking, or simply reveling in the beauty of nature, Breanne strives to help others find their own joy in the great outdoors.
