Our presenters are curated for their quality, depth, integrity, and alignment with our educational purpose. Since 1982, a distinguished faculty of authors, educators, activists, artists, performers, and practitioners have shared their work at our Cortes Island campus and in Vancouver.

Tosh Harvey

Tosh Harvey (he/him) grew up on Cortes and has always loved exploring the ocean. Tosh is a naturalist, and brings his depth of knowledge to all of the adventures that he leads. He is particularly passionate about botany and the local edible plants of BC. Tosh has worked as a marine guide and deckhand on Cortes for 5 years after becoming certified through SKGABC. He also works for the local highschool and other youth programs, leading outdoor activities and trips. Tosh enjoys all outdoor activities, especially mountain biking, climbing, hiking, long-distance swimming, sailing and of course, kayaking. There is no place that gives him more joy than being out on the water.
