Terri Bibby

Terri Bibby has been offering classes, workshops and retreats in her studio, in the woods, on Salt Spring Island since 2007. Topics include the SAORI philosophy, weaving, warping and clothing design. Her own weaving is inspired by the ever-changing colours and textures of nature that surround her. Since first coming across SAORI weaving in 2005 at a fibre festival, Terri has immersed herself in the philosophy and practice of SAORI weaving. The freedom, the colour, the textures and the beautiful philosophy of SAORI was life-changing. After a trip to Japan in 2007 to meet Misao Jo, the founder of SAORI weaving, she has been back seven times to continue to learn and be inspired. Terri is a member of the SAORI Leaders’ Committee based in Japan. The SAORI Salt Spring Weaving Studio is part of the SAORI Global Network of registered studios.
