S. Portico Bowman
S. Portico Bowman is an author, artist and Professor of Art (Emerita) at Pittsburg State University. She is currently working on the book Would You Give Up Arms for Wings, a story inspired by the visionary life and writings of Paulus Berensohn. That writing project has inspired this class, received a Canada Council for the Arts Professional Development Award, and occupied her wildest dreams for the past four years. Her first novel, Cashmere Comes From Goats is forthcoming May 2022 with Stonehouse Publishing.
Portico currently lives in San Diego, CA with her husband Tom, and their very understanding cat, Florence.
