Sharon Kennedy Vickers

Sharon Kennedy Vickers is an award winning technology professional with 25 years of
experience envisioning and leading equitable implementation of transformative digital solutions.

Sharon is the CEO of Software for Good, General Benefit Corporation, a full-service software
development agency whose mission is to build technology with love so that all communities can
leverage technology for shared abundance and liberation, Sharon fuses her passion for people,
culture, and creating with her technology expertise to build ecosystems that unlock human
potential. Her approach ensures that individuals impacted by the solutions are part of the design and development process—building with, not for communities.

Prior to this role, Sharon was appointed by Mayor Melvin Carter to serve residents in the City of
Saint Paul and the national civic technology community, as Chief Information Officer (CIO). As
CIO, she was responsible for ensuring the city used data and technology to create a more
welcoming, just, and inclusive Saint Paul.

She lives on purpose by—building bridges toward a more just and equitable world where every
person can flourish.She champions the belief that technology should liberate, not constrain.
Sharon is also a fourth-generation farmer. She and her eleven siblings own and operate HK
Farm, an 1100 acre homestead in Tattnall and Candler counties Georgia. They are innovating in
climate-conscious ranching and farming, inspiring and empowering people to love and respect
the land and animals.
