Dr. Katia Sol is the CEO of Hollyhock, bringing over 25 years of global experience in transformative leadership, education, and community development. Katia’s passion for cultivating personal and social transformation is rooted in her own early experiences of grief and loss, a spiritual awakening at 16, and a formative year of volunteer service in a Bolivian Indigenous community at age 18 that ignited a lifelong commitment to social change.
Katia holds a BA and MA from Stanford University, a PhD in Leadership, Higher & Adult Education from the University of Toronto, and an MS in Management from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business. She has facilitated programs in more than 30 countries and with several First Nations, co-directed The Ecology of Leadership at the Regenerative Design Institute, founded her own coaching and leadership development business, and taught university courses on regenerative leadership, living on purpose, and well-being at Stanford.
Katia’s work is rooted in experiential learning, nature connection, and a deep belief in healing through relationship—with self, community, and the Earth. A mother of three boys, she brings warmth, wisdom, and a heartfelt dedication to cultivating a more just, joyful, and regenerative world.
