Big Business and Conservatives are preparing to push austerity and deregulation following COVID-19. How do progressives seize the opportunities in this crisis to start building the power we need to set the agenda for reshaping our economy? 

This 90 minute session will be hosted online at 4:00pm PT, and includes provocative conversations with progressive digital leaders, interactive breakout sessions, and Q&A with Andrew Burns and Ash Arden from Point Blank Creative. This session will be hosted by Activate Producer, Jack Milroy.

Ash brings world-class public narrative, stakeholder management, and community organizing capabilities gleaned from her work as a teaching fellow at Harvard with Marshall Ganz, the legendary organizer behind Barack Obama’s winning 2008 campaign, and Hoggan and Associates, the award-winning crisis management and stakeholder engagement firm. At Point Blank, Ash has been instrumental in providing key strategic direction across all major campaigns.

Originally from New Zealand, Andrew has worked on campaigns across the world, leading innovative and world-class digital programs. Most notably, he ran the digital campaign that led to New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern taking office in 2017, in an upset victory. Alongside this, Andrew has worked on other advocacy and political campaigns in New Zealand, Canada, Australia, and the UK.

Activate Live is a free virtual offering that brings together digital leaders, practitioners and thinkers from coast to coast to coast to learn, strategize, and build long term progressive digital capacity and power.

This event is for progressive digital practitioners. You might be a digital director at an advocacy organization, a content writer at a political party, an organizer at a labour union, or a senior leader who tries to bring all these pieces together. You might work with clients to deliver great digital campaigns, or build new technology.
