Imagine practicing yoga while floating on the clear ocean water surrounding Cortes Island. Let yourself be immersed by the gentle rocking of the ocean and the fresh saltwater breeze kissing your skin, bringing calm to your nervous system.

Stand up paddle boards (SUP) are a great trade for your yoga mat – they are wide and stable, but can take you to new environments and waterscapes. When the board is coupled with nature, they serve as teachers imparting the lesson to remain as dynamic as the ever-flowing water, engaging your core in a way not often seen on land.

This practice will take you beyond just the physical aspect; it will teach you how to be one with the elements, tune into your inner center, practice awareness and mindfulness, and be present with what is – ultimate surrender.

The smooth, calm inlet waters of Desolation Sound offer idyllic conditions for all levels of SUP yogis. Connect with yourself in nature through a daily schedule that includes paddling meditation, SUP yoga, dry-land yoga, Stand-up Paddleboarding in the inlet and lake, and quite possibly the best floating savasana you’ve ever experienced.

Expect the unexpected with lots of fun, flowing, laughter and refreshing days!
