I was twenty-five years old when a series of synchronicities compelled me to move to Cortes Island, B.C., and begin working at the front desk at Hollyhock. During that formative time, two passions became ignited for me: partnering with helping spirits, and spiritual evolution by way of long-term trainings.
Twenty-five years later, I’ve come full circle. I’m overjoyed to invite you to the inaugural year-long blended learning spiritual practitioner training consisting of two residential retreats at Hollyhock, the seeds for which were planted there over two decades ago.

Whether we’re aware of them or not, we all have compassionate helping spirits who are devoted to our well-being, potentiation, and evolution. The practice of journeying enables us to initiate contact with our spirit guides in order to receive their immediate support whenever we’re in need of wise council, helpful insights, and powerful healing.
This is a stand-alone workshop that also serves as the prerequisite for Becoming a Spiritual Healer Level I: The Essentials.
Becoming a Spiritual Healer Level I: The Essentials
A Year-Long Professional Training and Initiation
September 11 – 17, 2025 & September 26 – October 2, 2025
Hollyhock, Cortes Island, BC
A year-long blended learning professional training for people who are called to become spiritual healers that begins and concludes with two six-night residential retreats at Hollyhock in September 2024, and September 2025, and includes monthly virtual gatherings as well as a comprehensive at-home curriculum in between the retreats.
Spiritual healers partner with compassionate helping spirits in order to identify and remedy spiritual imbalances and disharmonies that can affect people’s emotional, mental, physical, and energetic health. During this training, participants will develop an extensive skill-set for addressing these underlying issues including divination; leading clients on guided journeys to meet their own helping spirits and access spiritual resources; cord cutting; psychopomp (helping people cross over at the time of death); merging with trusted helping spirits; facilitating healing rituals; and more.
At the conclusion of the training, participants will be qualified to provide professional spiritual healing on behalf of others within a private practice setting.
About Julie
Julie Kramer was introduced to core shamanism in 2000 while attending a workshop at Hollyhock, which enabled her to begin cultivating direct relationships with compassionate helping spirits using the practice of shamanic journeying. While continuing to receive training as a shamanic practitioner and facilitator, Julie began leading workshops in 2003 in order to teach others how to use natural trance states to journey into the invisible dimensions of reality and partner with benevolent helping spirits.
Beginning in 2011, Julie expanded her offerings to include long-term trainings with the creation of The Sacred Call of the Healer, a yearlong immersion for healers across disciplines to increase their efficacy by engaging the power of the unseen world. In 2012, Julie developed The Art and Practice of Shamanic Healing: A Three-Year Professional Training and Initiation, a comprehensive training for cultivating the broad skillset, proficiency, and stability needed to provide professional shamanic healing to clients
60-Minute Transformation Lab
Discover the benevolent helping spirits who want to work with you. In this 60-minute transformation lab via Sounds True One, Julie introduces you to the practice of entering a natural trance state to connect with a compassionate guide who is devoted to your wellbeing and evolution.
