Why Teach at Hollyhock?
Hollyhock is more than a venue—it’s a place where meaningful learning unfolds in relationship with land, community, and possibility. For over four decades, we’ve hosted visionary teachers, facilitators, artists, and change-makers who gather people for experiences that inspire insight, connection, and transformation.
Set amidst the wild beauty of Cortes Island in the Salish Sea, Hollyhock offers an immersive environment where your work can deepen and resonate.
Hollyhock runs a limited number of new programs each year based on our 6-month seasonal cycle. If your program is selected for consideration, we will reach out to you for more details.
We are currently accepting submissions for the 2027 season. Please submit your program proposal here.
A Setting That Enhances Your Work
Teaching at Hollyhock means your program is held within a thoughtfully designed experience. Between sessions, participants are nourished and inspired by the land and the rhythms of daily life. They can:
- Soak in the hot tub or unwind in the sauna
- Wander through lush gardens and forest trails
- Enjoy nourishing, locally sourced meals
- Join guided daily yoga and movement practices
- Swim, kayak, or paddleboard in the Salish Sea
- Gather for oyster BBQs and shared meals
- Take part in guided nature experiences
These elements create space for integration, reflection, and connection—allowing your teachings to land more deeply and stay with participants long after they leave.
