Here is a good way to use kale as a quick breakfast on the fly.
Ingredients

A big handful of kale – about 2 cups roughly chopped

1/2 cup yoghurt (we use krema)

1 medium beetroot

1 medium carrot

1/2 avocado
-
1/2 to 1 cup fruit – frozen berries or fresh fruit.

1 banana
-
3 tbsp maple syrup

1 egg (optional)
Method

Combine all ingredients in a blender.

Top up with a liquid of your choice – juice, milk, even water, till the fluid comes to 2/3 full in the blender.

Pulse in a combination of short and long bursts till smooth and uniform.
Cook’s tip
If you have a powerful blender most ingredients can go in whole, older blenders will be helped by roughly chopping the ingredients.
