Reconciliation and Well-Being

With Ariana Fotinakis and Vanessa Lesperance

September 6 - 10, 2024

Overcome overwhelm and fears of doing the wrong thing, and step into ReconciliACTION.

Heart-centered decolonial facilitators Vanessa and Ariana come together in this transformational deep dive to explore how teams and organizations can move towards Reconciliation in a holistic, embodied manner. The Reconciliation journey asks us to move beyond individuality and into relationality–our time together will transform the way you relate to yourself, those you share space with, and the lands you occupy.

“This workshop met every participant where they were in their reconciliation journey. Some of the content is difficult on multiple levels, but the absolutely solid facilitation skills made it accessible…Best investment of personal development time ever. Period.” – Past Participant

Engage in raw and truthful discussions about why Reconciliation is essential to the well-being of our collective and decompress with creative and land- and mindfulness-based activities to support your personal well-being. By the end of the program, you will have a clear understanding of the power you hold, both as an individual and within your organization. Our intention is for you to walk away with a greater belief in your ability to create positive change in your community.

While you are welcome to join us as an individual, we invite teams to join us for an immersive team-building experience.

Program Highlights

  • Get the tools and things to consider in order to create a ReconciliACTION plan for your team or organization based off the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action and UNDRIP, grounded in practical, meaningful, and long-term actions towards Reconciliation
  • Explore holistic tools to support emotional and nervous system regulation while navigating societal and organizational change
  • Explore trauma’s impact on the brain and body and how it influences our experience in the workplace. Learn how to co-create safer work environments and how to gently begin your own healing journey.
  • Understand why Reconciliation is essential to the well-being of Indigenous and non-Indigenous folks alike and explore key terminology. Ask the questions you’ve been afraid to ask and give yourself permission to start where you’re at.
  • Reflect on how to cultivate a deeper connection with the Land you occupy and how to move beyond tokenistic land acknowledgments. Craft your own meaningful acknowledgment statement.

Who it’s For:

  • Leaders of medium-to-large-sized organizations
  • HR Professionals
  • Consultants working in EDI
  • Non-profit and NGO leaders
  • Founders and CEOs
  • Community organizers, activists, and disruptors
