Our presenters are curated for their quality, depth, integrity, and alignment with our educational purpose. Since 1982, a distinguished faculty of authors, educators, activists, artists, performers, and practitioners have shared their work at our Cortes Island campus and in Vancouver.
Jolaine Boucher
Jolaine Boucher is an outdoor enthusiast, yogi and wanderer. She grew up hiking, kayaking and exploring the East coast of Canada but found her home on Cortes Island in the Spring of 2016.
She is passionate about the healing practices of time spent immersed in nature and in ourselves. She was first introduced to yoga as a means to balance her athletic training but was instantly inspired to study in greater depth. She completed her first teacher training in 2014 in Thailand in the Sivananda lineage. She has since continued to build her practice and teaching through karma yoga immersions and training in Hatha, Yin and Vinyasa. Her classes are sequenced for all levels of practice and include a balance of gentle strength building and deep release. In 2017, she completed the Adventure Sport Certificate from Thompson Rivers University and is now in her 6th season of guiding on the waters surrounding Cortes Island. She is thrilled to be sharing two of her passions and looks forward to meeting you on the mat and on the water.
