Our presenters are curated for their quality, depth, integrity, and alignment with our educational purpose. Since 1982, a distinguished faculty of authors, educators, activists, artists, performers, and practitioners have shared their work at our Cortes Island campus and in Vancouver.
Kevin Kunzler has been a herbal medicine maker since 1999. Kevin extracts over 400 plants, and grows many of them himself on an acre of farmland on Saltspring Island. His herbal medicines line, Sandhill Botanicals, supplies many clinics in Canada and the USA. With a passion for self-sufficient pharmacy, Kevin provides the comprehensive medicine making curriculum to the students at the Wild Seed School of Herbal Studies as well as hundreds of high quality herbal medicines to practitioners in British Columbia, California, and Arizona. Kevin spends two months of every year in the field identifying and harvesting throughout North America. When he is not making extracts of plants, Kevin can frequently be found with his nose in old herbal texts.
