Our presenters are curated for their quality, depth, integrity, and alignment with our educational purpose. Since 1982, a distinguished faculty of authors, educators, activists, artists, performers, and practitioners have shared their work at our Cortes Island campus and in Vancouver.
Yogacharini Maitreyi is an international transformational trainer, young elder, wisdom keeper and practical mystic. She is the founder of Arkaya Awareness Centre and Arkaya Foundation. Originally from South India, she is now living in Canada and has been teaching the classical Yogic and Tantric life science for over 25 years.
Since 1997, she has been given titles in India, such as: Yoga chemmal (expert), Yoga shiromani (gem), and Yoga acharini (guide). She was one of the youngest to be invited on the Advisory Board of the World Yoga Council, in Europe, in 2007. She has shared the deeper dimensions of yoga, self management and sattvic tantra worldwide.
Maitreyi has trained over 60 corporations, spoken at many conferences and has over 100 published articles in India, Hong Kong, Sweden, Dubai , Srilanka. U.S.A. and Canada. She was invited to share her wisdom at many international yoga, ayurveda and leadership summits.
Her journey, gleanings and teachings will move you towards fully embracing the trauma (unconscious patterns) that influences your behaviour in order to transform it. She also enables you to connect your humanity to your divinity.
A compassionate holistic coach, her sessions include online energy assessments to guide one into one’s own innate balance. She loves nature and ayurvedic food and now lives in Vancouver.
