Garden Tip: Tomato Grafting

Tomato grafting became popular in the 1960s as a way to reduce certain diseases caused by soil-borne plant pathogens. Grafting is now often used to offer protection from other stresses and to improve the length of vigor of the plant.
Listen in as our gardener Dana grafts a Cherokee purple tomato onto another root stalk to improve the tomato’s season and disease resistance.
