There is an awesome power in the human voice and when uncommon voices are blended for the common good, they become a ‘vocal community’ at its best. Technology may have altered how, when, where and why we communicate, but blended in song our voices are the core of our collective humanity.
Ysaÿe Barnwell, phD illuminates the power in vocal communities in this TEDx event. Barnwell is a musician, arranger, singer, master teacher, member of Sweet Honey in the Rock, and one of America’s finest composers. She holds a Masters of Science degree in Speech Pathology and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Speech Pathology.
