SVIW 2023 Spaces
Join your dedicated community space, meet fellow participants, build your connections and make the most of your SVIW experience.
This year to further our work to create safety, solidarity and deeper conversations about equity and justice we will be offering a BIPOC-only cohort and specific programming as well as a shared space open to all. We intend to grow this offering and develop more dedicated peer support groups for 2SLGBTQ+ and MaGes (marginalized genders), if you are interested in supporting us in curating these spaces please reach out to the SVIW production team or use the contact form on this page.
BIPOC Space
True Confessions
We start each SVIW with a True Confessions presentation because it helps create a safe environment for truth telling, and people usually learn the most from hearing other people’s stories (not from listening to a lot of theories that aren’t linked to real experiences).
- True Confessions presentations are not canned speeches about how to become a wildly successful entrepreneur.
- They’re personal stories from leaders who have often faced enormous challenges and made some big mistakes that they’re willing to talk about.
- They’re also real-life stories from leaders who made a decision to do something meaningful and were successful in doing so. In these stories you may see yourself, resonate deeply or simply be curious…we know that listening and being seen is an important part of the SVI journey.

Case Studies
At SVIW we will feature two entrepreneurs that have identified a specific strategic challenge to a panel of experts, who along with all attendees, will help provide invaluable insight, considerations and support.
The Case Study model provides an opportunity for all attendees to strengthen their business acumen and learning while providing feedback and advice to a fellow business leader attendee. It’s a structured format with proven results.
Workshops
As a registered participant of SVIW, we invite you to submit a proposal for a 90 minute interactive skill-building workshop. Our aim is to ensure participants receive practical skills through the generous sharing of knowledge and expertise throughout our time together. Thank you for considering sharing yours.
The SVIW Producer team curates workshops so that we have a mix that includes a variety of skills (e.g. marketing, HR, finance, leadership, operations.) Please note that we continuously strive to uplift the voices and leaders from equity-denied communities and will prioritize submissions from these communities.

An important part of the SVIW model is building our program based on you and your specific needs, sign up to be part of the Marketplace of Ideas or Peer Coaching Circles using these forms and our producer team will be in touch with next steps.
PEER COACHING SIGN UP
In small groups of 5-6 each person will get 3 minutes to share their challenge, the group will then have 6 minutes to respond with support from SVIW leaders and experts.
