As the climate crisis deepens, are you struggling to maintain hope and see yourself in this uncertain future? This is a gathering for those who feel called to nurture personal and community resilience to fully face this era of climate change.
By consulting the wisdom and strength of spiritually grounded and transformative practices, we will explore the tools that support and strengthen our capacities for awareness, acceptance and collective action in these unprecedented times.
Karen Mahon is the Canadian director of Stand.earth. She is a strategist, organizer, facilitator, and fundraiser with more than 25 years experience making social change. Early in her career she led Greenpeace’s campaign to protect the old growth rainforest of Clayoquot Sound, now a UN Biosphere Reserve. She was a principal architect of the multi-sector collaboration that resulted in the protection of the Great Bear Rainforest on Canada’s west coast. Karen has worked as a strategic consultant for a wide variety of high impact private, public and civil society organizations. In her work as the Executive Director of the Hollyhock Leadership Institute, Karen focused on increasing the effectiveness of activists and change makers and applying the teachings of the wisdom traditions to the practice of social change. She is the past Managing Director of Greenpeace Canada and Public Outreach USA. Karen is a long-time board member of Hollyhock.
