Our presenters are curated for their quality, depth, integrity, and alignment with our educational purpose. Since 1982, a distinguished faculty of authors, educators, activists, artists, performers, and practitioners have shared their work at our Cortes Island campus and in Vancouver.
Jennifer Lorca, BSN, is a Somatic Therapist with the Centre for Mindfulness-Based Somatic Therapy®, former hospice nurse, Pain BC patient partner, advocate & volunteer, End of Life Doula, holistic health practitioner, and Spoonie. Her background in theatre (acting, writing, movement, voice) and energy modalities (Energy Medicine Yoga®, Reiki, Therapeutic Touch, Healing Touch) create a multimodal approach to health and wholeness and enriches her work as an MBST® practitioner, mentor, and facilitator.
Jenny’s own lived experience with complex chronic disease has given her a greater depth of understanding of the multiple dimensions of pain, stress, trauma, and chronic and life-limiting illness… and of healing. She is dedicated to walking alongside individuals and families at any and all points along their health and wellness continuum.
Jenny is a vocal advocate for warm beverages, cat naps, and all-day pajamas – and she carries a kazoo in every purse.
