A Journey of Sound, Movement & Breath
With Michael & Ayi Wong Mayzel and Maria Filippone
June 13 - 18, 2021
Connect to your inner process with therapeutic Sound Journeys, and learn about the foundations of sound healing. Enjoy grounding and dynamic yoga practices, and combine chanting with movement. Auditory vibration, movement, stillness, and breath provide the groundwork for healing and transformation.
With an array of world instruments, Michael and Ayi of Shanti Sounds Costa Rica will hold space with their musical talent, and Maria will guide yoga to augment the practice. Also known as a sound meditation, a sound journey is a healing experience that uses audible vibrations – instrumental and sometimes vocal sound – to activate the parasympathetic nervous system, slow brain waves, and inspire a meditative connection to spirit.
“Maria Filippone and I worked together in my preparation for The Police Tour in 2007, I knew it was going to be a gruelling experience so I wanted to be as fit as I could be. Maria was the perfect choice for a coach, adept in yoga and pilates, she is inspiring, forensic in her adjustments to my practice, and delightful company.” – Sting (of the Police)
