Materials: Body Rolling Kits (6 balls per kit) are available for purchase through the instructor. Email darcy@hollyhock.ca if you are interested in purchasing a kit, at least 2 weeks before the start of the program.

Package Price: $1,080 - $2,315 / 5 nights. Includes tuition, room, all meals, and Hollyhock activities (depends on accommodation choice). Excludes Taxes and fees. A $395 deposit is required at registration, with the balance due on your departure day.

Scholarships: Full and partial scholarships are available based on financial need. We prioritize Indigenous people, people of colour, people who identify as LGBTQ2IA+, youth, elders, and those who can articulate how their Hollyhock experience will support positive impact in their life and communities. Core Matter: Yamuna® Body Rolling & Pilates Essentials

With Namchi Bazar, BFA

Experience profound beneficial changes in your body with five days dedicated to Yamuna® Body Rolling and Pilates. Release pain and restrictions in your back, shoulders, neck, hips, legs, and feet for a total body awakening and feel-good rejuvenation.

Yamuna® Body Rolling is a workout, a massage, and a whole body adjustment rolled into one. YBR uses various sizes of specially designed balls to improve alignment, enhance bone quality, and create a stronger, longer, and leaner body. An empowering healing practice that is beneficial on its own or as a compliment to your other fitness routines. Combining the strength and toning effects of exercise with the releasing effects of massage, YBR makes space in your joints and tissue, helps to heal and prevent injury, and offsets the stress of vigorous exercise and repetitive movements. YBR creates immediate tone and lift of abdominal muscles along with energizing postural awareness and strength.

The Pilates Method elongates and strengthens, improving muscle elasticity and joint mobility. The practice of Pilates helps to create a deep dialogue between body and mind building a system of neuromuscular patterns that facilitate an attention to postural alignment as well as core and breath support. Control of the core is achieved by integrating the trunk, pelvis and shoulder girdle.  By emphasizing correct spinal and pelvic alignment, concentration on smooth, flowing movement, Pilates helps to economize exertion and correct structural imbalances.  The quality of movement is valued over quantity of repetitions and proper breathing helps you execute movements with equal power and efficiency.  Pilates accommodates all types of trainers from beginners to athletes in regards to injury prevention and rehabilitation.

Together, these two modalities support you to access your core matter, let go of unproductive holding patterns, and activate your centre with precise intention. Develop powerful, effective body-wellness routines that are easy to incorporate into your home practice. Everybody is welcome regardless of age, experience, or injury.

Namchi Bazar, BFA
Namchi Bazar developed her unique somatic approach to core wellness over 25 years as a professional dancer, Pilates Instructor, Yamuna® Body Rolling Practitioner and mother of three. She is compassionate, sincere and enthusiastic as she helps people feel their best in their body/mind. Her classes are grounding, with a clear focus on experiential anatomy in a dynamic and supportive learning environment.  Namchi facilitates transformation from within, outwards.  She encourages authenticity, and believes that conscious action fosters greater self-awareness and empowerment.
