Gabor Maté is a renowned pioneer on addiction, trauma, childhood development, and the relationship between stress and illness. For the last 3 years, Hollyhock has hosted Gabor and his son Daniel Maté in Vancouver for Hello Again: A Fresh Start for Parents and Their Adult Children.
In an honest exposé, Gabor and Daniel talk about how the process of working together is both rewarding and filled with tension – not unlike many of the relationships they see in the workshop. Working through their challenges, they have come to recognize that many families are in the same boat, seeking to start fresh and clearing the way for a new adult relationship between parent and child.
