Accessing Your Core

The transverse abdominis (TA) is one of a few muscles involved in your “core.” It rests behind your “abs” and is responsible for stabilizing the spine and supporting your balance. Learning to engage the TA at appropriate times can prevent injury, but it is also important to know how to relax this area too.
